On the 25th anniversary of the opening of Paolo Antonacci's Gallery in Rome, sixty drawings depicting animals will be the focus of an exhibition from 26 May to 28 June, "Animalia – Drawings on paper from the 18th to the 21st Century from the private collection of a Roman gentleman".

This major collection, shown for the first time, features horses, foxes, eagles, dragonflies and exotic animals by artists such as Eugéne Delacroix, Paul Gauguin, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Paul Klee, René Magritte, Man Ray, the Italians Duilio Cambellotti, Giorgio de Chirico, Alberto Savinio, Antonio Ligabue, Afro, Domenico Gnoli, the contemporary Pietro Ruffo and many others.

The complete collection is framed in Biedermeier-style cherry wood.
